Magdalena Basak – Communications and PR Specialist in the Cultural Sector. She has been passionately creating communication strategies for cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, and artistic initiatives for years. She has been involved with the Art Transparent Foundation since 2021—initially as a co-producer of the SURVIVAL Art Review, and since 2023, as the person responsible for promoting all of the foundation’s activities. She gained experience at institutions such as the Pan Tadeusz Museum, the University of Wrocław Publishing House, and the Krupa Art Foundation, where she worked as Marketing Manager. At KAF, she led campaigns promoting events including the exhibition Wojciech Fangor. American Dream, which was visited by over 20,000 people.

Since 2019, she has collaborated with the Society for Active Communication, where she co-develops the program of the International Short Story Festival and manages its communication. She channels her surplus energy and creativity into additional projects—designing exhibitions, publications, and visual identities for cultural events. Recently, she also began writing. Her articles have appeared in outlets such as Onet, Newsweek, and Format Art Magazine.

Director of the ART TRANSPARENT Foundation, Doctor of Social Sciences, specialist in foreign policy and cultural diplomacy. She has experience in organising work and managing projects with a value of EUR 2+ million, including dozens of cultural and social ventures of regional, national and international scope. Her particular focus is on building sustainable European-African relations. She co-organised events as part of the European Culture Congress and co-authored Wrocław’s application in the 2016 European Capital of Culture competition. Graduate of the TANDEM international programme for cultural managers and the BASECAMP Eastern Europe & Central Asia 2021 School of System Change programme, winner of the “30 Creative Wroclawians 2017” competition, member of the Bosch Alumni Network Central Europe region coordination group from 2021 to 2022.

Artist and curator, President of the Board of the Art Transparent contemporary art foundation, initiator and general curator of the SURVIVAL Art Review, head of the Mieszkanie Gepperta contemporary art gallery. He has studied at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław and at the Royal College of Art in London. From 2013 to 2016, he was the Visual Arts Curator for the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016. In 2011, as part of the European Culture Congress in Wrocław, he ran the Polish edition of Thierry Geoffroy’s Emergency Room format. In 2012, he curated the exhibition and symposium Active Poetry. Art in Public Space in Poland at Shoreditch Town Hall and the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Curator of the exhibition The Germans Did Not Come at Wrocław Contemporary Museum (2014) and Kunsthaus Dresden (2016), as well as Dispossession, shown as part of the 2015 Venice International Art Biennale. During the ECOC Wrocław 2016, he was responsible for more than a hundred projects – exhibitions, educational activities, interventions in public space and others. He organised the Wrocław presentations of exhibitions such as Eduardo Chillida. Sounds at BWA Wrocław (2016) or Summer Rental. Marx Collection in Wrocław at the Four Domes Pavilion, a branch of the National Museum in Wrocław (also 2016). Curator of the project “Wrocław – Backyard Entrance,” i.e. a series of dozens of large-scale artistic and social interventions in the public space of the city. Two-time recipient of the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (in 2006 and 2010), winner of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Marshal’s Award in 2004. In 2010, he received the WARTO award from the Gazeta Wyborcza daily. Winner of the “Young Poland” scholarship in 2011 and the “Emotions!” award from Radio Wrocław Kultura (2016). In 2017, the F5 magazine ranked him first among cultural activists changing Wrocław for the better. Winner of the Merito de Wratislavia award, presented by the Mayor of Wrocław in recognition of his meritorious service to the city.

Aleksandra Jach is responsible for day-to-day project administration at the Art Transparent Foundation, where she also deals with the organisation of volunteering and internships. She is the coordinator of the “Youth in Culture” project, co-creator of the activities of the Maciek Biega! foundation. Since 2013, she has been involved in the preparation of the Lelenfant project (formerly: Brave Kids). In 2022 she collaborated on the administration of the 18^thStorytelling Festival. She works for people with disabilities by helping with the organisation of various cultural and sports events in Wrocław. She has completed courses and training in the field of project management, group work organisation, and leisure time animation. A lover of cats, sailing and dancing.

Dr Małgorzata Miśniakiewicz is an art historian and curator who focuses on inter-local perspectives in her research of socio-political contexts of contemporary art and the legacies of the east-central European post-war avant-gardes. She has graduated from the Courtauld Institute of Art (MA in Global Conceptualism with prof. Sarah Wilson and prof. Boris Groys, 2011; PhD with dr Klara Kemp-Welch, 2018). In her PhD thesis she analysed networked art of the 1970s, focusing in particular on mail art in Poland, through the ideas of political dissidence and social and geopolitical transformations. In her curatorial practice she works mostly with neo-avant-garde and contemporary video and photography. She was the Collections’ Curator at Wrocław Contemporary Museum (2017-2019) and has curated exhibitions and research programmes in Poland and abroad. As a writer and editor, she combines her curatorial and research practices also by organising research conferences. She is a recipient of AHRC grants and holds a postgraduate diploma in Management of Art and Culture from Warsaw School of Economics.

Graduate of Art History at the University of Wrocław, active promoter of history and contemporary art among senior citizens and people with disabilities, spokeswoman for Wrocław City Museum since 2009, since 2020 also the museum’s accessibility coordinator. Curator of exhibitions of contemporary and old art. She has been regularly cooperating with the Art Transparent Foundation since 2018; since 2020, she has been curating the SURVIVAL Art Review and leading historical and accessibility walks as part of the event. At the Foundation she has also led Senior Art Walks, researched the biography of Hanna Krzetuska and issues connected with the accessibility of contemporary art. She is a storyteller, author and leader of numerous walks, including herstorical and queerstorical walks around Wrocław, also with audio description and translation into Polish Sign Language. As an audio-describer of contemporary and ancient art, museum objects and performances, she regularly cooperates with the Katarynka Foundation for the Development of Audio Description, where she leads guided tours of exhibitions of contemporary and old art with audio description and translation into Polish Sign Language. Author of numerous texts on the history and herstory of Wrocław as well as Wrocławianki. Książka herstoryczno-artystyczna [Women of Wrocław. A herstorical and artistic book] – the first book in Wrocław’s history dedicated exclusively to women (year of publication 2022). Her interests include the accessibility of contemporary art and the herstory and queer history of Wrocław. She also explores the history of the movement for the emancipation of people with disabilities.

Paweł Rogowski is a professional producer of artistic and cultural events for companies, non-governmental organisations and cultural institutions; graduate of MA studies at the University of Wrocław (political science, specialisation: political marketing) and postgraduate studies at the University of Economics (human resources management). Since 2012, he has been executive producer of events during the International Storytelling Festival in Wrocław. From 2016 to 2021, he worked at the Ossoliński National Institute, where he was first in charge of the Audience Services Department and then of the Events Organisation Department at the Pan Tadeusz Museum. He was also responsible for the production of the SURVIVAL Art Review (2012, 2013, 2014, 2021, 2022), administrative issues at the English-language internet radio station RadioWroclove.com (2009-2010); production of the exhibition Active Poetry. A Sketch for the Transformation of Art in Public Space in Poland in Shoreditch Town Hall, London; production of the exhibition Dispossession(Accompanying Event of the 56^th Venice Biennale, organised by ECoC Wrocław 2016); production of exhibitions as part of the Drawing Triennial 2019 in Wrocław (for the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław).
