Designed by Krystyna and Marian Barski, the Chemistry Auditorium of the University of Wrocław was constructed in the years 1970-1971 as a fragment of a partially completed urbanistic concept of the university complex.
In spite of the passage of time, it remains a special place on the architectural map of Wrocław as an example of an outstanding achievement in post-war modernism on the national scale.
Unfortunately, the auditorium is currently unused due to the lack of financial means to revitalise it and gradually deteriorates.
For this reason, together with Jednostka Architektury, we are going to carry out a series of actions during this year’s 15th edition of SURVIVAL which will symbolically restore the building to its former glory and emphasise its potential. In order to do so, we need your support!
Help us to restore the past glamour of the auditorium!
How can you do it? By making a donation:
- 30 zlotys to recreate the flowerbed
- 50 zł by przywrócić oryginalną iluminację fragmentu podniebienia audytorium
- 100 zł by zrealizować neon „JEST CHEMIA!”
Let’s show that there is chemistry in our actions!
