We invite you to a zero-waste weaving workshop – together we will transform old clothes into something new! During the session, children will learn how to give a second life to unused materials. Instead of new yarns, we will use strips of old fabrics – pieces of T-shirts, scarves, and leftover textiles.
The workshop will take place at the Geppert Apartment Gallery (Mieszkanie Geppertów), where the exhibition “Home” is currently on view. Surrounded by works by Irmina Murawska, we will explore what can be created from simple, reclaimed materials.
By interweaving successive layers, children will develop patience, concentration, and sensitivity to texture and color. These craft workshops will become an experience that combines art, ecology, and the joy of making.

The workshop will be led by Kasia Bargieł-Smolińska – a graduate of the Folk University of Artistic Crafts. She mainly works with ceramics and leads workshops for both children and adults. She is passionate about various forms of artistic expression and is also the mother of two wonderful boys.
