The International Institute for Community-Driven Art Commissioning (IICCA), founded by Bethlen Theater (HU), Art Transparent (PL) and the New Theater Institute of Latvia (LV), launched an open call for individuals interested in joining the group of artistic commissioners at IICCA.
The role of artistic commissioner involves a two-year commitment (2023–2025) as part of an international project. The goal is to allocate funding for artists who will create new artworks specifically designed for the Brochów neighborhood in Wrocław. The selection of both the artists and the final commissioned artwork is made by the individuals recruited through this call. IICCA provides training, a production budget, and professional guidance throughout the entire process.
The DemArt IICCA program aims to democratize the practice of funding and commissioning artworks by local authorities and cultural organizations, while placing emphasis on the role of local communities and their cultural needsin this process.

Arleta Gosławska – photographer and intermedia artist, based in Wrocław. She co-runs the MIGAWKA collective in the Oławski Suburb. Arleta graduated from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań with a degree in Intermedia Photography. Her work is grounded in everyday life, marked by conceptual and minimalist approaches. Her artistic interests focus on human beings, nature, and the essence of being. Arleta often creates tangible works – books, objects, and installations. Observation and reflection on daily life are the starting points of her process, resulting in an artistic tribute to the small and overlooked.
Hubert Sulima – dramaturg, theatre maker, and educator. He comes from a working-class family in Bielawa, in the Owl Mountains of Poland. A graduate of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, he has co-created numerous productions for institutions such as TR Warszawa, the Stary Theatre in Kraków, and the Polish Theatre in Bydgoszcz. He was awarded a scholarship by Nowy Teatr in Warsaw for “outstanding young artists” and has been twice nominated, along with director Jędrzej Piaskowski, for the prestigious “Polityka Passport” award in the “theatre” category.
