DemArt Academy is a unique educational initiative organized by the Art Transparent Foundation in collaboration with the International Institute for Community Art Patronage (IICCA). The program offered lectures, workshops, and seminars dedicated to art in public space.
The aim of the Academy is to democratize the process of commissioning and producing artworks, with a focus on the needs of local communities. Participants gained practical knowledge about community art commissioning, working with artists, organizing open calls, and producing cultural events. Experts involved in the project included Iza Rutkowska, Tomasz Szymański (Solo Show), Bek Berger, and Daniel Valtueña.
The Academy consisted of four in-person meetings in Wrocław and one online lecture. Travel reimbursement was provided for participants from outside the city.
