“The Book of Dreaming” project addresses the challenges of integrating refugee children from Ukraine in countries affected by the consequences of war and the migration crisis following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The aim of the project is to support the integration process through artistic activities and the exchange of knowledge between professionals working with children in migration-related crisis situations.
The project activities will be carried out in four countries: Poland (Wrocław), Latvia (Riga/Ludza), Hungary (Budapest), and Ukraine (Lviv). The core part of the project is based on a methodology developed by Andy Field and Beckie Darlington. As part of this component, city-guide books created by children will be produced and published in local languages, English, and Ukrainian.
The second pillar of the project focuses on the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of children’s integration through culture. Partner institutions will organize meetings and thematic activities, resulting in the creation of two toolboxes that will include good practices, inspiration, and recommendations for cultural and educational institutions.
