Activity for Families at the Exhibition

We invite children and parents to take part in movement and relaxation sessions. The meeting will take place at the Mieszkanie Geppertów gallery, where the exhibition “Some Do Not Remember the Color of Their Mother’s Eyes” is currently on view. The program will include elements of gymnastics, stretching, and relaxation exercises, encouraging release, mindfulness, and shared movement.

The event is organized as part of the Kid Art Walk series and is intended for families with children aged 5 to 10. Its aim is to create an open and comfortable space for both younger participants and adults. We want children to feel from an early age that art galleries are places for them, while allowing parents to actively participate in cultural life.

The exhibition features works by Krystyna Michałowska-Podsiadła, as well as an artistic film by Alicja Kielan and Ilona Witkowska.

Facilitator

Ola Jach – fitness and acrobatics instructor, leading sports classes for children and adults in gymnastics, climbing, and stretching. A multiple medalist at international competitions and Polish National Championships in rhythmic gymnastics between 2003 and 2013.

We invite families with children to take part in movement- and art-based activities.

The meeting will take place at the Mieszkanie Geppertów Gallery, where the exhibition Some Do Not Remember the Color of Their Mother’s Eyes is currently on view. The first part of the session will focus on exploring what our bodies can do, while the second part will be devoted to sensory play and drawing in foam. The activities will last approximately one hour.

Events from the Kid Art Walk series are designed for families with children aged 5–10, with the aim of creating a welcoming atmosphere for both children and adults. We want children to feel welcome in art galleries from an early age, while giving parents the opportunity to actively participate in cultural life.

Facilitators

Katarzyna Śnieżka Jach – educator and sensory integration therapist with many years of experience working with children. She holds a master’s degree in pedagogy and art history, as well as postgraduate qualifications in early childhood and preschool education, sensory integration, and psychomotor therapy. She works as a preschool teacher and SI therapist. She has extensive experience in cultural animation, leading creative workshops, and educational care, including as the head of a community center and an instructor at sailing camps.
