The conversation took place on October 11, 2025, during a public forum in the popular science series “15% of Abstraction”, organized by the Art Transparent Foundation. This year, the focus was on the social, material, and affective dimensions of women artists’ work, with particular attention given to sculptors, ceramicists, and designers from Lower Silesia.
The forum “Blank Spots Are… – Postwar Women Sculptors and Ceramicists of Wrocław” provided an open space to gather dispersed materials and stories about the lives and artistic work of Wrocław’s sculptors and ceramicists, including Janina Szczypczyńska, Regina Konieczka, and the Skomorowska sisters. Four discussions and one lecture were held, exploring not only the historical contexts of these artists’ biographies but also their legacies and influence on the art of subsequent generations.
